Promotional activity to Win a Trip to UK to watch a football match
i. This lottery is being organized by Pool Joseph Merven Limited (PJML) in accordance with the relevant section under the Gambling Regulatory Authority Act (GRA) 2007.
ii. The promotional activity will be held during the period 2nd August 2024 to 1st April 2025.
iii. The draw date is 3rd April 2025 and venue is PJML Headquarter.
Note: Any change in date or extension of the lottery period, or draw date, will be communicated via PJML digital platforms and in at least one public media.
iv. The draw will be conducted at PJML Headquarter and under the supervision of officers from the GRA.
v. The draw, once completed and official results published, will be deemed as final and will not be challenged before any court of law.
vi. At PJML, we publicize the winner as per the below conditions:
(a) The lottery licence issued by the Gambling Regulatory Authority states: “The winning numbers/names will be published in two daily newspapers of wide circulation for two consecutive days within 7 days of the draw and copies of the newspapers will be forwarded to the Chief Regulatory Authority not later than 3 days after publication of the result.”
(b) We recognize that it is fundamental for participants to know whether the prizes that we promote have been won, and who has won them. By entering into this contest, the participants are giving their consent that the personal information will be publicized on social media and other platforms, such as winner’s name, prizes/amounts won and photographs from the date the prize was claimed.
vii. Residents and Non-Residents of Mauritius can participate in this promotional activity.
viii. All the participants must be 18 years or above.
ix. For every minimum purchase of Rs 75 for a football coupon, participants will need to register on footballpools.mu by entering the details requested so that they are eligible to receive a lottery number via SMS. For participants who have played directly on footballpools.mu, they will be registered automatically. Participants will receive their lottery number via an SMS.
x. Prizes won cannot be returned or exchanged for cash equivalent.
xi. The winner may either:
• Collect his/her prize at PJML Headquarter, in person and upon presentation of his/her National Identity Card or Passport or;
• Assign a proxy to collect the prize on his/her behalf, on the condition that the said proxy will bring a copy of the winner’s ID together with a signed letter allowing him/her to collect the prize on behalf of the winner.
xii. The winner should acknowledge receipt of the prize. The acknowledgement, accompanied by a photocopy of the National Identity Card of the winner will be submitted to the GRA.
xiii. Any unclaimed prize after the expiry of six months from the date of the lottery draw should forthwith be paid into the National Solidarity Fund;
(a) Where the prize is a money prize, the amount of the prize; or
(b) Where the prize is not a money prize, the market value of the prize on which the licence fee was paid.
xiv. All entries in the promotional activity shall be considered as an entry and the participant(s) certify that all the information entered on footballpools.mu is correct and accurate. The participants shall acknowledge that their participation in the promotional activity will be based on the information provided and if inaccurate or untrue, this may lead to disqualification in future stages of the Draw Process.
xv. With regards to the Data Protection Act 2017, PJML is aware of the importance of safeguarding personal data of customers and all the relevant law pertaining to the Data Protection Act.
xvi. The participant(s) acknowledge, understand and agree that his or her personal data are being collected for the convenience of providing appropriate services, notifications of promotions, marketing use, future communications and other relevant information concerning this promotional activity and same may be transferred to PJML partners (whether within or outside Mauritius), any person who may assume or acquire our rights, or where required by law or regulation and other parties which intervene in the business relationship.
xvii. PJML will process and secure the given information of participants in compliance with the Data Protection Act (DPA) to which the participant(s) have given their consent without any duress. Pursuant to the provisions of the DPA, the participant(s) acknowledges that in relation to the Personal Data which is in the custody or control of PJML and/or its partners, the right to request rectification and erasure; to object to the processing; and to withdraw consent at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of processing based on the consent which have been provided prior to their withdrawal.
xviii. Prize is as per below:
• Star Prize: An all-inclusive package for a 2-way ticket to the UK to watch a football match at Anfield Road Stadium, with accommodation and pocket money.
